We manufactured and fitted the bespoke timber window above for a customer in North Yorkshire. The window was made at our Kirby Misperton workshop. We used Accoya timber for all of the woodwork. The window was spray-painted and finished during the manufacturing process. The beautiful glass, supplied by Brepi Stained Glass, is encapsulated within sealed double-glazed units.
Bespoke Wooden Products
The image above illustrates the quality of our work and our eye for detail. The combination of carefully hand-crafted woodwork and (Brepi) stained glass produced a porch that is indeed a sight to behold.
Traditional Windows for Listed Building
The extensive period property above is a grade II listed building. We recently manufactured and installed six new sash windows and upgraded ten more. To comply with local listed building regulations, we used slimline double-glazed units for all glazings. Traditional windows make an essential contribution to the significance of historic buildings. So we always strive to replicate the original historic wooden windows whilst adding double-glazed units to improve thermal efficiency and internal comfort levels.
Timber Durability and Longevity
The window frames and sliding sashes are in Accoya timber. Accoya provides the best value for money because of its durability and guaranteed longevity. To understand more about the importance of Accoya timber and its green credentials, it is worth taking a few minutes to watch the short VIDEO on our website.
Painting Wooden Windows
The wooden window frames and sliding sashes were spray-painted at our Kirby Misperton workshop in North Yorkshire. We paint woodwork during our integrated manufacturing process. Painting wooden products (during manufacture) makes sense because the exposed wood is sealed and weather-protected before installation.
Sash Window Upgrades
We manufactured and installed this bay window for a customer in the City of York. The wooden bay contains a combination of Georgian and traditional casement sashes. The woodwork was manufactured from Accoya timber and spray-painted during the integrated manufacturing process at our Kirby Misperton workshop. Energy-efficient Planitherm double-glazed units complete the package.
An elegant, bow-fronted wooden window photographed during manufacture at our Kirby Misperton workshop in North Yorkshire. The window was constructed with Accoya timber, and double-glazed with quality sealed units. The window features handsome Gothic-style raised astragal bars. The paintwork was undertaken at our own in-house spraying facility, and the finished product is indeed a thing of beauty. We are passionate about woodwork, and that passion is demonstrated in our finished products.
